The Van, how she was fixed

So there we go, she got fixed. She needed loads of welding, on the footwell, on the floor, on the underbody. All got done with the great help of Steve !

The footwell, welded new and good !

Under the footwell, welded and sealed with the good black stuff !

We covered most of her underside with the underbody seal, this will keep her from rusting anymore. We wanted to wait before covering the whole underbody, because we knew we would be drilling holes into it. For what? for the next project on the van, putting a floor in!

There is Steve, welding a length of new steel onto her rusted side. Also check out that swank new window on the sliding door.

The wheel arch got a do over as well: cleaned and rebuilt with bodyfiller, she looks all new !

Same was done on her other side, we didn’t want to let any hole stay around and make her look bad.

After all the work, she became road worthy, got her MOT, got road taxed, insured and is on the road. And almost straight away, we put her to work, and she even got her first wages, working with the gardening team!
